Broncos Varsity Girls Volleyball Win Again

International Falls Broncos varsity girls volleyball team made it two straight wins to start the season with a five-game win over Northwoods.

Scores were 25-22, 24-26, 24-26, 25-19 and 15-5.

Gracie Swensen led the way with 17 kills, seven digs and four ace blocks.

Bella Wille recorded 17 kills and six ace blocks.

Madison Wille had 13 kills, two ace blocks and two ace serves.

Karsen Korpi had 22 digs.

Kale Taylor had 22 set assists, while Aubrey Pavleck recorded 2o.

In the pool, the Broncos varsity girls swim and dive team outpointed Northeast Range-Ely.

The teams split the 12 events held.

For the Broncos, Jillian Bilben won the 50 and 100 freestyle events.

Quianna Ford won the 500 free and 100 breaststroke.

Kiernan Ford won in diving.

The 200-yard medley relay team consisting of Ford, Bilben, Elizabeth Janzen and Mary Versteeg captured the other victory.

The juniors squad lost in their competition with Zari Silvers in the 50 butterfly picking up the team’s only win.
