Police: Woman sexually assaulted while walking in Bedford

An investigation is underway into a sexual assault in Bedford over the weekend.

Halifax Regional Police were called to Shore Drive and Hatchery Lane just before 3 p.m. on Saturday.

They say a woman was out for a walk when a man came up to her and tried to make small talk before touching her.

He was accompanied by a woman who ran away.

The man is described as having a dark complexion, standing 5’8” tall, with a slim/muscular build. He was clean-shaven with dark curly hair.

At the time, he was wearing a beige shirt and short blue shorts.
