A Moncton man has been arrested after a cyclist was seriously hurt in a hit and run last weekend.
Codiac RCMP say the driver of a vehicle fled after a car collided with a cyclist on Morton Avenue near Mascaret Street around 11 a.m. Sunday.
The cyclist was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Mounties asked the public for help in the investigation and released photos and a description of a vehicle of interest.
On Thursday, police say a 45-year-old man was arrested.
Michael Duncan Paul Hutchins was charged in Moncton Provincial Court on Friday via tele-remand with failure to stop at the scene of an accident causing bodily harm.
He is being held in custody and returns to court for a bail hearing on Tuesday.
