Attempted murder charges have been laid against two men and a woman after a stabbing in Kings County.
The Mounties report a man who had been stabbed showed up at a Windsor hospital last Tuesday morning with non-life threatening injuries.
The 26-year-old was able to identify two suspects and police tracked down a third.
A 67-year-old Hantsport man was arrested that day and a search of a Hantsport property turned up firearms, ammunition and cleaning supplies.
Investigators also seized the vehicle, which they believe was used in the stabbing.
Two days later, a 41-year-old Liverpool man and a 22-year-old Halifax woman were taken into custody.
Eric Hubley, Lexus Young, and Arnold Clifton Messervey are facing the following charges:
- Attempt to Commit Murder;
- Aggravated Assault;
- Assault with a Weapon (two counts);
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose;
- Uttering Threats;
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized;
- Contravention of Firearms Storage Regulations;
- Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order
Messervey is facing an additional charge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm. He was released on conditions and will appear in Kentville Provincial court on September 27th.
Hubley is facing charges of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm and two counts of Failure to Comply with the Conditions of a Release Order.
Both Hubley and Young have been remanded into custody.
