There will be elections in most northwestern Ontario communities come October 24.

The deadline to file nomination papers has passed and the official list in each Municipality is expected to be confirmed by 4:00 pm today (Monday).

There will be no race for Mayor in Sioux Lookout and Ear Falls as Doug Lawrance and Kevin Kahoot are poised to be acclaimed.
