Mounties say a man has been arrested after a police operation in Willow Grove on Thursday.

Officers were called to a reported disturbance at a home on Anthony Crescent around 2:30 p.m.

Police said attempts were made to arrest a man who took off into the woods.

RCMP were assisted by other forces and specialized police services in the search for the man.

He turned himself in at the Hampton RCMP detachment around 7 p.m. Thursday.

Members of the public were asked to avoid the area during the incident.
