UPDATED: Have You Seen Kacey Yellowhead?

Thunder Bay Police are looking for a possible witness that might’ve spoken to Kacey Yellowhead.

The 25 year old was seen at the corner of Northern Avenue at Simpson Street at 7:18 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 2.

While travelling on foot southbound on Simpson Street, it looks like he speaks to a woman and walked with her for an undetermined distance.

Investigators are now looking for this woman in the hopes she may have relevant information that could help advance the investigation.

Kacey is described as an Indigenous male standing about 5’6” tall with a thin build. He has a medium complexion, shoulder-length brown hair, brown eyes and a red mark on his right cheek.

He was last seen wearing a black zip-up hoodie with white draw strings, charcoal grey shorts, and white socks.

If you have home or business surveillance cameras in this area, investigators ask that you review footage around this date and time and contact police if you have images of Kacey.

If you live in or near the area of Northern Avenue and Simpson Street, the police ask that you check your yards and sheds for any signs of Kacey.

Investigative efforts have led to increased concern for Kacey’s wellbeing.


Thunder Bay Police are asking for the publics help in locating missing person, Kacey Yellowhead.

Police indicated that the last confirmed sighting of Kacey was on Tuesday Aug. 2, at about 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Isabel Street and Fort William Road.

The 25 year old’s family last spoke to Kacey at about 2 p.m. that same day when he was believed to be in the city’s east end.

Kacey is described as an Indigenous male standing about 5’6” tall with a thin build. He has a medium complexion, shoulder-length brown hair, brown eyes and a red mark on his right cheek.

He was last seen wearing a black zip-up hoodie with white draw strings, charcoal grey shorts, and white socks.

The Thunder Bay Police Service would like to thank the various community agencies and volunteers who have made efforts to help locate Kacey or have provided family with assistance.
