A burn ban that was in place for much of New Brunswick has come to an end.

The ban was issued on Sunday after days of hot weather across the province.

But as of 2 p.m. on Monday, all of New Brunswick was back in the green.

Saint John, Kings, Charlotte, Kent, Carleton and Victoria counties were not included in the ban. Burning in those counties was permitted between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m.

Individual municipalities will have their own restrictions and residents should refer to local bylaws.

As of Monday afternoon, there were two forest fires burning in the province. Both were listed as “being patrolled” on the province’s Forest Fire Watch website.
