Thunder Bay Police are now classifying the death of a person on McMillan St a homicide.

On July 29th officers were called to a home in the inter-city area for a weapons call.

When they arrived they located a deceased person at the home.

Members of the Major Crimes and Forensic Identification Units are investigating and believe this to be a homicide.

This makes it the city’s 9th murder.

A large police presence remains in the area and a scene is being held. The public is being asked to continue avoiding this area until further notice.

A post-mortem examination is pending.
