UPDATE: RCMP Identify Individual In Lexi’s Lounge Incident

Update: The individual that police were looking to locate and speak to has been identified. The RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance. Police are still asking anyone who may have information that could help further the investigation, to contact the Codiac Regional RCMP at 506-857-2400.

Codiac  RCMP is looking to identify and speak with a witness to an incident outside Lexi’s Lounge in Moncton early Sunday morning.

On July 24, at around 6 a.m., a woman fell while on the sidewalk outside the bar near the intersection of Reade Street and Mountain Road. Based on information from a person who was with her at the time, a man driving a dark green pickup truck stopped to check on her after seeing her fall. He offered to drive the two individuals home and dropped them off at their destination a short time later.

At around 7 p.m. the same day, Ambulance New Brunswick and members of the Codiac Regional RCMP responded to a report of a woman in medical distress at Norwood Avenue home in Moncton. The woman was taken to hospital but died on July 26.

Police are also interested in speaking to anyone who may have been at the intersection of Reade Street and Mountain Road between 5:30 and 6:30 a.m. on July 24 who may have witnessed what happened, or who may have a dash camera or other video footage of the area at the time.
