Thunder Bay Police were near Pearl Street when they saw a man trying to kick in an apartment window.

Early Wednesday morning, the suspect tried to run but found police a shortly after.

The 50 year old suspect got into a physical altercation with police and even tried to grab the officer’s gun from the holster to no avail.

The officer got control of the situation and continued to arrest the man without further incident.

Facing Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest x 2 and Disarming a Peace Officer, the local man is in police custody until a future court date.
