Some New Brunswickers felt the ground move beneath them while getting ready for bed Sunday night.

A 3.5-magnitude earthquake was recorded around 9:36 p.m., according to Earthquakes Canada and the U.S. Geological Survey.

Officials said the quake was centered in a rural area of northern New Brunswick between Miramichi and Plaster Rock.

People as far away as Fredericton, Woodstock and Bathurst reported feeling the earthquake, according to USGS.

Earthquakes Canada said there are no reports of any damage and none would be expected in this case.
