Two of the four teams in next year’s Atlantic Slam basketball event in Moncton have been unveiled.

The Towson Tigers and UC Irvine Anteaters will join the lineup for the Division 1 college basketball event.

Officials said the remaining teams for the 2025 event will be announced in the new year.

Organizers also announced that Atlantic Slam will return to a multi-team event (MTE) format.

This year’s event had to be modified to a single NCAA regular season game due to changes in league rules and regulations.

“We are eagerly anticipating the return of the Atlantic Slam to the MTE format in 2025,” Bill Whalen, co-chair of the City of Moncton’s Events Moncton Committee, said in a news release.

“This format allows us to showcase multiple high-calibre teams and enhance the experience for fans.”

Event packages for the 2025 Atlantic Slam will be available for purchase on Dec. 9.
