Thunder Bay’s police service has launched a new survey aimed at gathering community feedback.
“Like previous surveys, this one focuses on elements of trust as well as how TBPS is performing,” said city police in a release. “Trust especially is important, because people need to feel safe interacting with police, whether it’s to report a crime or to provide information as a witness.”
The service is looking to gain insight into what would make residents more willing to contact police, reasons you may not report a crime, and your views on policing priority.
There is also an opportunity to rate city police’s delivery of services.
The survey results are being used to inform operations and strategic planning.
“We do this as part of our commitment to provide the communities we serve with the highest level of safety and service,” said TBPS Chief Darcy Fleury. “Input is instrumental in truly understanding the needs and concerns of our residents to make the best decisions for our future.”
The survey will remain open for roughly eight weeks and can be found here.
