A 17-year-old is facing various charges after an armed robbery in Yarmouth.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery with a firearm in the town on Friday.

It was reported that the victim had their bike stolen at gunpoint by someone known to them. They were not physically hurt.

The youth suspect was located and arrested at a nearby residence without incident.

Officers executed a search warrant and seized an imitation firearm.

The youth is charged with robbery with a firearm, pointing a firearm and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

They were remanded into custody and are scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
