The Kenora Islanders have made a coaching change.
The team announced on Facebook that it terminated the contract of head coach and general manager Gaitlin Church after nine games.
Nathan Bruyere returns as Interim coach.
Bruyere had resigned in July.
The Islanders have just one win and one tie and sit seventh in the eight-team league.
No reason was given for Church’s firing.
The team lost their first game under Bruyere, dropping a 9-4 decision to the visiting Ironwood Lumberjacks.
