Nova Scotia Power crews have brought back electricity to thousands of homes and businesses after a messy day.
At the peak of the wind storm on Saturday, 15,000 homes and businesses across our province lost power.
Environment Canada predicted the Tri-Counties would see the strongest gusts with wind speeds up 90 km/h in Digby, Shelburne and Yarmouth.
Special weather advisories for high winds were in place in many other regions including Annapolis County, Halifax, Hants County, Kings County, Lunenburg County and Queens.
Most power problems were resolved Saturday night.
All ferry crossings between Digby and St. John, N.B., were cancelled on Saturday but expected to resume on Sunday.
