Almost half of Halifax voters could not name a mayor candidate in upcoming election

Nearly half of the surveyed voters in Halifax could not name a single candidate for mayor in the city.

MQO research surveyed 383 voters between Sept. 24 and Oct. 2.

Their results show that 46 per cent of people could not name someone running in the election.

Of the remaining people, 29 per cent said they would likely vote for Andy Fillmore.

8 per cent were leaning to Waye Mason and 6 per cent were leaning to Pam Lovelace.

The municipal election happens Oct. 19.
