A program that helps seniors stay at home longer is expanding in the HRM.
The province says their CAPABLE pilot will now be available in places like Highfield Park, downtown Dartmouth, Burnside, south end Halifax and more.
The program pairs seniors with a nurse, handyperson or occupational therapist to help their independence.
The province is putting $4.2 million into the program, to qualify you have to be over 65 and have physical or mobility challenges.
So far, 99 seniors have enrolled.
