Strong passenger numbers continue on the ‘CAT’ ferry.

Bay Ferries says the Yarmouth to Bar Harbor, Maine vessel has booked nearly 46,000 passengers for 2024.

That’s an increase of over 8,000 compared to this time last year.

President Mark Wilson says they’re pleased with the continued growth through August, and they’re confident they’ll have over 47,000 once the season is finished.

The ‘CAT’ has carried over 38,000 passengers so far this year, with 93 round-trips.

Daily service continues until September 16, then the ferry will run five days a week until mid-October.
