A 66-year-old woman from the Annapolis County is facing charges after a firefighter was injured while on scene of a collision.

Digby RCMP say it was Tuesday afternoon around 2:25 p.m. on Lansdown Rd near Bear River.

A firefighter was helping with traffic control and vehicles were temporarily stopped as crews investigated.

The woman, driving an SUV tried to get through and hit the victim.

The firefighter was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The woman was released and will appear in court in October.
