Sobeys in Westphal is closed Monday afternoon after reports of a possible fire or explosion on the roof.

Fire crews say it was shortly after 9 a.m., when the calls came in and investigated smoke on the roof.

Halifax Fire told our newsroom that crews were called to the Sobeys Panavista store and that the issue was with an air handler.

According to Halifax Fire News on social media as of 9:45 a.m., the situation is under control.

There was no report of injuries.
