Middle Sackville man facing charges after break-in, gas spill in Port Hastings

A Middle Sackville man is facing charges after breaking into a business in Port Hastings, causing a gas leak.

RCMP say it was Wednesday around 5 p.m. when the 49-year-old was seen running from the 100 block of Hwy 4 and into the woods.

A window was broken, and gas was spilled.

Nova Scotia Power and fire services went on scene to cut power in order to deal with the spill.

The suspect was arrested a couple of hours later.

He in court Thursday and remains in custody until he returns to court again.
