A 55-year-old man is dead after an ATV collision in Cumberland County.

RCMP say it was around 9 a.m., Thursday, when officers found a side-by-side in the ditch on the 1500 block of Barronsfield Rd in River Hebert.

Investigators believe the man, from River Herbert, was thrown out of the ATV, after he was found dead nearby.

The road was closed for several hours.

The investigation continues.
