By Caitlin Snow Jun 26, 2024 | 9:43 AM

Just in time for the long weekend, many Nova Scotia beaches will have supervision.

The province says lifeguards will be on duty starting Saturday June 29, every day from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., until August 25.

Three beaches will have someone monitoring through early September.

– Aylesford Lake in Kings County and Lake Milo in Yarmouth County will be supervised through September 2
– Lawrencetown Beach on the Eastern Shore will be supervised on Labour Day weekend (August 31-September 2) and the following weekend, September 7-8.

A list of supervised beaches and daily updates on conditions are available at: http://www.lifesavingsociety.ns.ca/index.php/nsls-home/beaches
