The province’s police watch dog says an RCMP officer did not commit a crime after a man fractured a bone when being arrested.
SiRT says it was in January 30, when two RCMP officers tried to arrest a man after reports of domestic violence in Sunnyville, Guysborough.
They attempted to peacefully arrest the suspect but were not successful.
The officers then grabbed his arms, which resulted in a struggle, so one officer hit him in the face to gain control.
He was arrested, taken to hospital where he was diagnosed with a bone fracture, and was later released.
