On one of the hottest days of the year, more than 18,000 people briefly lost power in Woodlawn, Shearwater and surround areas.
The outage happened at about 3:30 p.m., but power quickly came back shortly before 4 p.m.
At about 4 p.m., the temperature in Halifax was 34 C.
Nova Scotia Power said the emergency outage lasted about 10 minutes, while crews removed a tree that fell on a line and “risked impacting equipment,” according to a social media post.
