Gas prices heading up, no change for diesel

Another fuel price increase is coming for some New Brunswick drivers, according to an industry source.

Regular self-serve is expected to increase by more than five cents per litre on Thursday night.

The maximum price for regular self-serve currently sits at just under $1.80 per litre.

Diesel prices are not expected to change this week. The maximum is just over $1.88 per litre.

In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.72 to $1.76 per litre while diesel is selling for between $1.88 and $1.92 per litre.

On Prince Edward Island, the price for regular self-serve is around $1.73 per litre, diesel costs around $1.89 per litre, and home heating oil is selling for a maximum of $1.39 per litre.

The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusts prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.
