There appears to be good news and bad news coming at the New Brunswick fuel pumps this week.

An industry source says gasoline prices will rise by around half a cent on Thursday night.

Diesel users will see some relief, with prices expected to fall more than four cents.

Currently, New Brunswickers are paying a maximum of nearly $1.65 per litre for regular self-serve, $2.02 per litre for diesel, and $1.75 per litre for home heating oil.

In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.60 to $1.64 per litre while diesel is selling for between $1.91 and $1.95 per litre.

On Prince Edward Island, the price for regular self-serve is around $1.61 per litre, diesel costs around $1.96 per litre, and home heating oil is selling for a maximum of nearly $1.42 per litre.
