Power was temporarily turned off for some residents in Lake Echo Friday night and Hwy 7 was shut down, when a man barricaded himself inside a home.
RCMP say the highway was closed between Echo Forest Dr and Beech Hill Rd around 9:30pm.
About a half an hour later the man was taken into custody.
RCMP say there was no immediate threat to anyone outside the home.
