If you notice military members carrying guns or weapons around Halifax do not be alarmed.
It is part of training exercises being held at Stadacona, Shearwater and the dockyard.
The weapons are not loaded and those involved in the exercise are highly trained.
The drills could take place up until February 9, but the exact date will not be announced.
They are part of annual exercises for Security Awareness Week.
