Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect involved in an assault and attempted robbery.

Police say it happened last month outside a home on Harvard Street in Halifax around 8a.m.

A homeowner saw a person they didn’t know in their vehicle and confronted them.

The suspect, hit them with a hammer and threatened them while trying to steal the vehicle before running away.

He is described as a white man, approximately 5’5” to 5’6” tall, wearing a dark-coloured jacket, jeans and a fabric face mask.
