An industry source says gasoline and diesel prices are heading up.

Gasoline prices are expected to jump around three cents per litre.

The price of diesel is expected to increase by around two cents per litre.

The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusts prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.

Currently, New Brunswickers are paying a maximum of $1.54 per litre for regular self-serve, $1.96 per litre for diesel, and $1.68 per litre for home heating oil.

In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.49 to $1.53 per litre while diesel is selling for between $1.85 and $1.89 per litre.

On Prince Edward Island, the price for regular self-serve is around $1.54 per litre, diesel costs around $1.94 per litre, and home heating oil is selling for around $1.38 per litre.
