Halifax Regional Police are investigating a vehicle-pedestrian collision in Dartmouth.
At about 6:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of an injured person who had been struck by a vehicle in the area of Burnside and Highfield Park drives.
The pedestrian, a 55-year-old-man, has been taken to hospital for what are believed to be life-threatening injuries.
Traffic to Highway 111 from Burnside Drive was blocked for nearly two hours as police investigated but has since reopened.

Police are no longer on scene at Burnside Drive and the roadway is now open to traffic.
