NS/Quebec renew Francophone agreement

A renewed agreement between Nova Scotia and Quebec.

It supports French-language exchanges and co-operative projects between the 2 provinces.

The 5-year deal was signed this week in Halifax.

Acadian Affairs Minister Colton LeBlanc says we have a long-standing collaborative relationship with Quebc, and this will help promote and preserve th French language.

Each province will fund projects for up to 50-thousand dollars a year.

The 2 provinces have had an agreement in place since 2002.
