Some provincial money is coming for certain museums in Yarmouth County.

Over 67-thousand dollars was announced today by Argyle MLA Colton LeBlanc.

The Argyle Municipality Historical and Genealogical Society, along with the Yarmouth County Historical Society Foundation each got 30-thousand.

The West Pubnico Historical Acadian Society received $7,500.

LeBlanc says it’s important to celebrate our rich history, and noted this is the first funding increase for some of these museums in over 15 years.

Other investments include $35,000 for the Yarmouth Wesleyan Church to send backpacks filled with healthy food to schools.

The West Pubnico Golf and Country Club will get $8,000 for a roof replacement.
