Police have arrested a 19-year-old in relation to the stabbing that happened during Dalhousie’s unsanctioned homecoming event.

It was October 1 ,2022 when roughly 4,000 students gathered in the area of Jennings and Larch Streets in the south end of Halifax, causing major disturbances, vandalism and a 19-year-old was stabbed.

He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police had requested the public’s help locating the suspect, who was arrested in Moncton, New Brunswick.

He will appear in court at a later date facing charges including aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
