The Fort Frances Muskie scored all of their points in the first half in defeating the visiting Churchill Bulldogs 41-1 in Winnipeg High School Football League action on Friday.
Running back Ben Huziak opened the scoring on the game’s third play from 32 yards out.
On the Muskies’ next possession, fullback Alex Kreger rumbled 17 yards for another major.
Running back Kel Cameron scampered in from 25 yards out.
Huziak raced 69 yards for his second touchdown of the game, while Cameron added his second from 44 yards out to make it 34-0 after the first quarter.
The Muskies added to their lead early in the second quarter with quarterback Parker Booth connecting with wide receiver Hayden Beckett on a 22-yard catch-and-run score.
Beckett was also successful on five of six convert attempts.
The Bulldogs’ only point was secured in the third quarter when a punt into the Muskies’ end zone was conceded by Beckett on the return.
The win improves the Muskies’ record to 5-1 and keeps them in second in the AAA Division behind Kenora’s Beaver Brae Broncos, who scored a 50-6 win over St. John’s.
The Muskies will wrap up their regular season next Friday with a home game against the Daniel Mac Maroons.
