Residents are invited down to the Brodie Library tonight for a traditional feast.
Organizer Kayla Berthelette says the meal is to honour Truth and Reconciliation Day, and while it is free there are conditions.
“It is a drop in and everybody is welcome. It is a first come first serve, so we want people to show up between 6-6:30p.m.”
National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is slated to take place this Saturday.
Other activities planned include a Residential School Survivor Ceremony at Hillcrest Park starting at 9:00 a.m.
The event is being led by an elder with the City’s Indigenous Advisory Council and includes a Residential School Survivor.
