Cape Breton Regional Police are investigating after a person was found dead in Sydney.

Monday morning officers responded to Harris Avenue where someone walking along a pathway reported seeing a deceased body at the bottom of an embankment.

Investigators say there is nothing to indicate foul play is a factor in this death at this time.

Police are awaiting the results of an autopsy to confirm the person’s identity and cause of death.
