A Nova Scotian goalie has made history.
Rhyah Stewart of Antigonish started for the Cape Breton Eagles in their QMJHL preseason game Friday night against Moncton.
She became the first female from Atlantic Canada to play in a Q league game.
The 16-year old stopped all 24 shots she faced, and left the ice at Centre 200 to a standing ovation.
Stewart played last season in the Nova Scotia U18 league for Cape Breton West.
