Masabi, a company from the U.K. is designing the system, which was supposed to be available this summer, but has been pushed back again.
The system will allow riders to pay for tickets on their phone, which they then show to the driver.
Instead of the current system which requires the correct change, tickets or bus pass.

Executive Director of Halifax Transit, Dave Reage, told CBC, he shares in the frustration and that it will likely be the fall before it gets rolled out, but that there is no new delivery date just yet.
