A popular beach in Digby County is closed.
Mavillette Beach will be shutdown until further notice, according to the Department of Natural Resources and Renewables.
The provincial body says it’s due to poor water quality.
They say tests confirmed high bacteria levels in the water.
This has been happening in many areas of Nova Scotia, likely due to the high levels of rain we’ve received this summer.
Updates will be provided once new water quality test results are received.
