Tax rates remain the same in the Municipality of the District of Yarmouth.
Council kept the rates at $1.18 per $100 of assessment for residential, and $2.17 for commercial.
It’s been the same since 2018/19, despite the rising cost of living.
In a release, the municipality says the competitive tax rates make the area a great place to live and do business.
Costs have all gone up for policing, fire protections, education and solid waste.
But they’re renewing their commitment to the Doctor Recruitment and Retention program at $30,000 a year for 3 years.
Council also allocated $145,000 for community grants, tourism and other projects, and put money towards the next phase of the Nova West Regional Business Park.
