If you were looking forward to the Thunder Bay Border Cats game Friday, specifically the fireworks show that was to accompany it, we have some bad news for you.

Due to the Restricted Fire Zone in effect in the region the fireworks have been cancelled.

The organization says they were informed by the fire marshal’s office of the situation.

They were scheduled to take place at 7:35 p.m. Friday as part of their series against the Duluth Huskies.

The Border Cats apologize for the cancellation but there are three more scheduled fireworks shows this summer during Friday home games on June 30th, July 7th and August 4th.
