By Ryan Forbes Feb 13, 2023 | 5:37 PM

It’s been a mild winter for northwestern Ontario and temperatures are setting records for the region.

In Dryden, Saturday’s high of 1.1 degrees and Sunday’s high of 4.8 degrees both set new record highs for February 11 and 12 respectively.

February 12’s record was originally set back in 1934, according to Environment Canada.

The lowest temperatures recorded for each of those days sit at -33.9 in 2021 for February 11 and a low of -32 for February 12 last winter.

The Dryden area is also on track to break the 1.7-degree record again today, as temperatures are expected to hit a high of 2 this afternoon.
