A 59 year old man from Machin has been charged with drug trafficking following a RIDE check stop in Vermilion Bay.
Over the weekend, the OPP say they were conducting a RIDE check stop on Highway 105 in Machin.
A driver approached the check stop and was asked to provide a breath sample.
He refused and was placed under arrest.
Further investigation uncovered a quantity of crystal meth, cocaine and Canadian currency.
Daniel Desmarais has been charged with two counts of drug trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime,
and failing comply with a police order
He was released from custody and is due to appear in Dryden Court on December 19th.
