Roughly 11,000 Nova Scotia Power customers were put into the dark Monday morning, after a crow came into contact with equipment on Kempt Road.
The utility says power was cut around 8 a.m. to a large area of the north end of Halifax.
It was about an hour later when the lights came back on.
Halifax Regional Police have closed their front desk at 1975 Gottingen Street for the day due to the outage, according to a social media post.
