Diesel price drops overnight with interrupter clause

By Jacob Moore Apr 16, 2026 | 8:29 AM

The Nova Scotia Energy Board has used the interrupter clause again for diesel prices, but this time to lower the cost.

As of midnight Wednesday, the price went down 10.8 cents to 212.3 cents a litre, according to a news release from the board.

They say adjustment is due to a significant shift in the market.

However, regular gas is not affected.

The Energy Board monitors fuel prices every day and they say they can make further changes if market conditions require.
