A Dartmouth man is facing charges for sharing explicit images with a person he believed to be a minor.

Police say it was Wednesday, when the Internet Child Exploitation Unit found out the man was communicating with a person, he thought was a 15-year-old girl from the U.S.

He shared photos and videos and was planning to travel to the United States to meet her.

She turned out to be an undercover police officer.

The 32-year-old was arrested Wednesday for these charges:

• Providing sexually explicit material to a child under the age of 16
• Luring a person under 16 years of age by means of telecommunication

He was scheduled for court, Thursday.
